ClearSkinClay™ works even if you don't change anything about your lifestyle and diet.

But to accelerate your results, use these proven clear skin tips.

Use ClearSkinClay™ internally and externally every day until your skin has cleared. Consistency is key! In his book The Clay Cure, Ran Knishinsky talks about using clay to clear up the skin quickly:

"The condition of the skin is a good indication of what is happening inside the body… Most acne is relatively easy to treat with the right methods--usually, a good diet and the daily ingestion of clay. My younger teenage brother got rid of bad acne within one week of eating clay.  At first he said it wasn't doing too much for his skin.  Then, out of the blue, he called me and frantically asked me to bring over another jar… The clay enriches and cleanses the blood, prompting better circulation and allowing the skin to get rid of waste.”

It is critical to battle the source of chronic skin challenges, which is inside the body. But when you also use ClearSkinClay™ externally as well, the powerful drawing power of the clay will help to open and clean out the pores. Attacking problem skin from the inside and out is the optimal approach.

Avoid Sugar and Dairy: We highly recommend avoiding sugar (especially from fruit juice sources), and dairy products. Try to cut out ice cream (especially!), butter, milk, specialty coffee drinks (i.e. the type with whipped cream and caramel toppings), high-sugar fruits such as pineapple and mango, and all fruit juices. Why? Dairy products contain a sugar called lactose, and eating other sugary foods (even natural fruit juices) leads to a surge in insulin and an insulin-like growth factor called IGF-1. This then leads to the production of excess male hormones, which encourage the skin to excrete large amounts of sebum. Sebum is a grease-like substance that encourages the growth of bacteria responsible for acne. Most people are surprised to find out how much sugar is contained in fruit juices – a glass of orange juice can contain as much sugar as two chocolate bars. It’s true that you get vitamins from fruit juice, but all of the sugar that you consume in a glass of fruit juice can have a serious negative impact on your skin. You don’t have to deprive yourself of ice cream and your morning glass of orange juice forever. Once your skin clears, you can add these foods back into your diet. In the meantime, substitute healthier choices, such as water with lemon or tea.

Hormones: The best way to balance hormones naturally is to do so with consistent sleep, eating, and exercise routines. Try to be asleep before midnight every night and wake up at the same time each morning. Try to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the exact same times each day. When you eat, make sure you are eating enough food - if you are eating healthy foods, you can eat substantial portions without gaining weight! Many people who are very skinny suffer from problem skin because they are not getting enough nutrition, and the body goes into wasting. Cleanses can be healthy, but a fast is one of the worst things you can do if you are dealing with skin challenges – your body needs nutrition every day in order for you to be healthy and have clear skin. Try to exercise at the same times each week. All of these habits will help regulate hormones, which can really impact the quality of your skin.

Exercise: The best exercises for improving complexion are those that are low-impact, such as light jogging, yoga, pilates, and swimming. Drink a bottle of water, and shower/wash your face immediately after exercising. Swim in salt water every opportunity that you get – salt water is great for your skin.

Hair: When oil from your hair rubs off on your skin, it can cause problems. Many girls get breakouts where their long hair touches their faces throughout the day, such as on the temples, and on the cheeks. Prevent your hair from touching your face by pulling it away from your face, and/or keeping it in a ponytail.

Hands and face: Try not to touch your face with your hands, except for when you are washing it. Dirt and oil from your hands rubs off on your face when you touch it, and this can contribute to problem skin. Be sure to wash your pillowcases on a weekly basis, because oil from your hair can transfer to your face at night while you’re sleeping with your face on the pillow.

Sensitivities: Test to see if any of the other skin products you are using are not adversely affecting your complexion.

Mixing: Make one large batch of ClearSkinClay™ and drink portions of it throughout the day, rather than mixing several smaller batches a few times per day. For example, if you are on Program 1: For Mild-Moderate Skin Challenges, you can mix 2 teaspoons of ClearSkinClay™ in a small bottle of water and then drink half in the morning, and half at night. If kept in a container with the lid fastened, your prepared ClearSkinClay™ does not have to be refrigerated. If ClearSkinClay™ is mixed with water and allowed to sit for several hours, be sure to shake it for a few seconds to mix again before drinking.
